Caroline Webster, our Building Surveyor, originally from Elgin, joined Bowlts initially to set up an "in house" drawing office, primarily undertaking general estate draughting.

After graduating from Dundee University in 1990 with a BA Honours Degree in Interior and Environmental Design, she worked with a building consultants firm in Aberdeenshire before joining Bowlts in 1993. Having received a diploma in building surveying through the College of Estate Management, she then qualified as a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

The drawing office has expanded into a separate building department, undertaking all aspects of planning and development work, both on retained estates and for individual clients. In addition, Caroline and her team provide drawing and mapping skills to all departments. The combination of an artistic training with experience in controversial planning applications, the technical details of building warrants and overseeing building projects mean a truly holistic approach may be adopted. As a chartered building surveyor, with team back up, she has strengthened the building department's spectrum of work, offering a complete building surveying service for all current and future clients.
