NEW BLACK ISLE AND EASTER ROSS LOCAL PLAN
Highland Council have now released their consultative draft of the new Local Plan to apply in Easter Ross.
Note that this new Plan incorporates the old planning areas of the Black Isle, Invergordon, Mid Ross and Easter Ross, which are now all to be within a single document. The area covered therefore stretches from North Kessock to Muir of Ord to Tain and down the coast.
Comments and responses are invited and the deadline for these is 9th August 2002. Any farmers or landowners with land within Easter Ross should check out the Local Plan and see how their land is zoned, since this document sets the framework for development over the next ten years and beyond. This is particularly important for land adjacent to existing towns and other settlements.
Copies of this draft Local Plan are available from The Highland Council Planning Offices, price £10.
