RISK ASSESSMENTS REQUIRED FOR YOUNG WORKERS

A recent case has highlighted the need for separate Risk Assessments to be undertaken for any employees who are 18 years or under, i.e. they are not covered by a Risk Assessment applying to other, older employees.

If you have young workers, make sure that you have made a separate note of special risks which they may be subject to, largely related to their inexperience and also the need for them to be supervised regularly or for specific tasks.
