RIVER SPEY PLAN RELEASED

The River Spey Catchment Management Plan has been released by SNH and is available from their Aviemore office or The Moray/Highland Council.

The document is open for consultation with responses required before 1st November 2002.

This follows on from the recently published Tay Catchment Area plan and clearly the principle of these plans will now be applied to major rivers throughout Scotland, incorporating all the views of interested parties, including SEPA, land /fishery owners, angling clubs etc.

Anyone interested should obtain a copy and submit their views.
