NATIONAL ENVELOPE ADDED TO SHEEP ANNUAL PREMIUM

The Scottish Executive have confirmed that the National Envelope payment available under the new style Sheep Annual Premium scheme (SAP) is to be added for the 2002 scheme year.

The national envelope payment is estimated to be worth an additional £2.75m to Scottish farmers and SEERAD has confirmed that the 2002 Sheep Annual Premium payment together with national envelope and Less Favoured Area supplement should amount to approximately £17.40 net of 3% modulation. Payments will be made in a single payment after 16th October 2002.
